Young Boys FC win KDMC Mayor's Cup 2011

KDMC Mayor's cup was organised by the TDFA core committee as a part of football promotion programme. Tournament was invitational with only 16 teams participating and contesting for the prestigious Mayor's cup. Tournament was played in the best of sportsman spirit across 4 days in that week.

Final was played on the 27th August'11 between Phoenix FC and Young Boys FC, Mumbra. The path to the finals for both the teams was not easy, as they got past some of the best teams in TDFA league.

After the good competition, Young Boys FC were crowned as Mayor's Cup winner. Young Boys FC won the match by a solitary goal. The match was evenly poised, with both the teams diaplaying good quality football, considering the slippery ground conditions.

The finals were graced by KDMC Mayor herself, Mrs. Vaijyanthi Gholap and senior leaders from other wards. The officials and organising committee were felicitated by the dignitaries present on stage.

After that, the runners up, Phoenix FC were presented with the Runners-up trophy and cash prize of Rs.15,000. Young Boys FC lifted the Champions trophy along with the cash prize of Rs. 20,000/-.

KDMC Mayor's Cup 2011 to be conducted by TDFA

KDMC Mayor's Cup tournament will be conducted by TDFA between the 23rd Aug to 27th Aug'11.

Mayor's cup will be a 11-a side tournament held at Birla College Grounds, Kalyan.

Complete details for this tournament will be updated at the earliest.

Meeting of TDFA affiliated team representatives on 29th May'11

TDFA organising committee has called for a meeting of Captains/Managers of all
the teams affiliated with the TDFA across various divisions.

Location: Parish Youth Club Church, behind Fatima Church, Ambernath.

Sports Psychology Workshop conducted by WIFA

Western India Football Association (WIFA), the apex body for football in the western region had conducted a "Sports Psychology" workshop at Cooperage Grounds, Mumbai. This workshop was conducted by a German Sports Psychologist, who holds a PHd in Sports Pyschology and has conducted such workshops for various associations across the globe.

All the district FA's were asked to nominate their representatives for this workshop.

The participants from TDFA were as follows:

Participants were given participation certificates for the same.
